I just realized that based on the pictures you would think that I only spent time with my dad, which is not so, I just so happen to only have pictures of my dad, shameful I know, since I spent most of my time with mom, Elisa and Kenzie and even Chris and I have practically no pictures to show for it. Usually I can't get my dad in a picture with out his eyes closed or something so I guess it is just karma.

Texas trip

We had tons of fun. Johnathan opened right up to his long lost aunts, uncle and Bob and Lita. We got to swim, thanks to the graciousness of Anne and Chris, eat excellent soup that Elisa made and had long, wonderful talks with everyone, especially mom. I even got to go on a bike ride on the recumbent with dad. The amazing pictures in this post are because of the amazing talent of Kenzie. If we get to go for Thanksgiving I hope she will be willing to do a family shoot, hint hint. I will put some more pictures on the yu-zen blog too so be sure to check them out as well.

facelift and new stuff

Shopping can be traumatic, so to distract Colette a bit while shoe shopping I used one of the "free socks" over her face. I didn't have to pull her mouth up into a smile. Then there were these cute tank tops at Target so here's Colette not-so-willingly modeling one of the ones I got her (only $1.75 too:)

sick and the zoo

So we had sooo much fun at the zoo that I (nicolle) got really sick. Luckily Rob is a sweetie and he stayed home to take care of me and the kids (the kids are fine, but I can't take care of them when I am sick, it is just too much). We are getting ready for Colette's big birthday bash this Saturday, it is coming up fast so I hope it will all go well. I will post pictures.

The house and birthday presents

So there are some more pictures of the house we are staying at. The last picture is of me giving Rob his birthday present. I didn't have a proper envelope or anything so I did the next best thing and lets just say he didn't complain:)

So the first picture is from the Esplin reunion. It was lots of fun. The second picture is from the hike during the reunion. The picture was taken pre-accident, as you can see Jamison's blurry leg in the background. And the last picture is of Rob and Johnathan downstairs in our temporary "pad" :)

New place...temporarily

So we moved into our temporary place on Saturday and we are pretty stoked about it. I will post pictures as soon as we take some. In the meantime I am planning Colette's big party, which will get to have at the temporary house:) I also need to find a job, but I some how messed up my back, it is soo strange, I have never really had back pain before and at the moment I can't believe how much it hurts and makes it so I can't do anything! Speaking of which I can't sleep because it hurts and I can't find any painkillers.

Happy First Birthday Johnathan Bear

There is nothing that makes J bear happier than when Daddy gets home and plays with him. For his actual birthday (the 29th of May) we went on an epic bike ride to Rock Canyon Park and flew kites. Then we had two birthday parties, one on Saturday to which kids were supposed to come but very few actually did and then a family one on Sunday. J was soooo tired but he wanted to be a part of the action (he slept through most of the party on Saturday) so that is why he doesn't look thrilled in the pictures, but we had a great time talking, eating and beating the pinata. It makes me think that maybe we will just do a mostly family party for Colette. All in all it was fun and we thank all of you who came and made it fun.
